Trattoria Osteria Dall'Oste SMN: The Quintessential Steakhouse Experience in Florence

We have ordered a ribeye and seafood pasta. They are both very tasty! The mussels soup is a bit salty for us for it’s all good in general. Location wise it’s very close to the train station. The staff Valentina is very attentive, she could notice our needs even we sat at the end of the restaurant. Highly recommend if you are in Florence!

Alessio is such a kind and welcoming guy! We truly enjoyed dining at this restaurant. everything was amazing. I came here yesterday and loved it so much that I came back again today. The T-bone steak was incredible, and the ribeye was just as good. Don’t miss the tiramisu. it’s absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place for great food and warm hospitality.

I had an amazing experience here. I ordered truffle pasta, which was creamy and had rich flavors. I went to one of the branches instead of the main one for lunch. It was okay, but if I have to choose one, I would definitely recommend this place. I can’t compare the food since I didn’t have the same menu, but bread was much softer compared to the branch. Also, huge thanks to manager Lee, who took a really good care of me. She made my dinner time much better by her service. 분점 말고 꼭 본점 가세요!!

The food here is good. The gnocchi was light and soft, the potato flavor comes through, not the dough. The seafood risotto was creamy but not heavy, the seafood was fresh and flavorful. The rice was cooked al dente and seafood was tender and juicy. The mafalde was tender with a gentle chew. Overall food was really good. The speciality of the restaurant is their beef quality and variety. The service was also good and the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was that the restaurant was full and the staff were a bit overwhelmed. But they still did their best and tried to be as attentive as they could. In terms of atmosphere, as the restaurant was full so it was slightly noisy. The restaurant was a bit too dark for my liking but this is personal preference. Overall it is a great restaurant that I would come back again.

Decent steakhouse serving a variety of beef and cuts of steaks. We had the local beef “Chianina” with Costata cut, I thoroughly enjoyed the flavour of the beef and thought it was well seasoned. We ordered truffle pasta and it was good, but I think the classic pasta dishes would be more flavourful and more worth the buck! We received free tiramisu so I would give 5 star service! Would definitely recommend it to anyone in Florence.

I had dinner here, and it was good. They serve you bread right away, but it was a bit stale. I ordered pappardelle with wild boar sauce, and I liked the sauce, but the pasta was a bit overcooked for my liking. I also tried the grilled beef tenderloin, which came with some roast potatoes and green asparagus. The meat was good, but nothing mind blowing. I find the place expensive for the quality of the food.

In my opinion, Trattoria Osteria Dall'Oste SMN is a restaurant you must visit when you are in Florence. The two of us tried the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina. It was not just a steak, it felt like a work of art — incredibly flavorful, tender, and perfectly juicy. The portion was so large that we couldn’t even finish it. We ordered it as part of a menu, which was more reasonable in terms of price. As a starter, we chose a spicy spaghetti, which was also very good. I had actually visited this restaurant before in 2017. Even though the world has changed a lot over the years, the quality and taste of the steak here remain exactly the same. Highly recommended.
